An essay is another long text that can appear on a B1 level certificate.
An essay is nothing more than your opinion on a topic. Another name for this genre in exam tasks is essay or school dissertation. Your essay on the certificate should be about 170 words and as always, when writing any text, you have to remember about composition.

Before you start writing, take a moment and think about this: holidays at home....? What comes to your mind? What do other people usually think or say about this topic? Is a holiday at home something positive or negative? What could be the pluses? What could be the downsides? From what perspective can you look at this problem? What is your opinion on the subject?

Holiday at home - an introduction
